Sesotho Language Services in the UK

About Our Sesotho Services

Sesotho, or Southern Sotho, is a Bantu language of southern Africa and the national language of Lesotho, as well as one of South Africa's official languages. The UK community is small, part of the broader southern African population here, so Sesotho requests are occasional rather than regular. When they come, our work is usually civil and educational: birth and marriage certificates and academic transcripts assessed by UK ENIC for study or work, together with any documents needed for Home Office settlement applications, and interpreting where a speaker prefers it. Sesotho is spoken by around five to six million people as a first language, chiefly in Lesotho and the Free State and Gauteng provinces of South Africa.

Prism Linguistics provides Sesotho translation, interpreting and transcription across the UK in 300+ languages. Whether you need a certified document for the Home Office, a court interpreter, an NHS appointment or a business meeting, our vetted native-speaker linguists are ready to help.
